FUNNELICIOUS

Construction is underway for a restaurant that will offer fried desserts, grilled sandwiches, specialized hot dogs, and at least 32 fountain sodas with flavor shots. Those offerings will be among the specialties at Funnelicious, which could open in May at 155 Augusta Street.

Greenville attorney Malinda McAleer Pennington, the restaurant’s owner, said the store’s main focus will be its fried desserts and topping bar. The range of fried desserts could include funnel cakes, brownies, Oreos, snickers and strawberries.
