Diners Drive-Ins and Dives
Found Sophia’s while searching on yelp for a breakfast place. So glad we did!
It is a local restaurant that serves a delicious and affordable breakfast.
There is not a hostess to take your name, you just wait in line barely in and
mostly out of the Restaurant.
I actually forgot that we found this place because of DDD. We no longer care
about that, this place stands out like a rockstar on its own, and we adore it!
We always try to bring visitors here, and recommend it all the time.
Wonderful Onion Rings and their Super Boy Burger is fabulous! I love their
Trout Dinner!
Best cheese steaks outside of Philly itself. Good chili and the desserts are
delicious.
Down home southern cooking! Home style food, like grandma used to make.
Most people probably do not think of BBQ when they venture towards the Golden
Isles. I was staying on Jekyll Island and being so close to Brunswick, GA, it
led me on a quest to find the best Brunswick stew in the area. Not only did I
find it, but I found quite possibly my favorite BBQ place in all of Georgia.
Albuquerque’s best-kept,secret isn’t so secret anymore.
I stopped in here last night for dinner with my girlfriend. I had been wanting
to come here since I randomly caught it on an episode of “Diners, Drive-ins and
Dives” and last night was the perfect night for us.
Steer In, how did I never grace your presence in my three years in
Indianapolis? In fact, how did I never even hear of this Indianapolis East Side
Staple. A traditional diner specializing in the best hangover cures in the
city, Steer In is frequented by East Side locals primarily, but serves a mean
omelet for anyone willing to “make the trek” down 10th avenue.
Amazing. Food = 4-stars, but with the atmosphere, service, and overall
experience, it’s a five-star place.
Steubens is one of my favorite places to eat in Downtown Denver. Not only does
it have a cool ambiance and atmosphere but the food is excellent. Like any good
place downtown, be prepared to wait for a table, especially on the weekends
(though the last time I went on a Friday we were seated right away).
I’ll start this off by saying I’d really like to give this place 4 stars, but I
just couldn’t. This seems like a place that is a restaurant by day and a bar by
night. It definitely has that dive feel over the quaint feel I would get if
this were just a restaurant.
I’ve heard over and over how great this place is, & finally made it for lunch!
Sooooo good, I can not wait to go back.
We went for breakfast and sat on the back patio on Thanksgiving day. We loved
the patio and fountain that we sat by, and loved the food even more! Should
certainly try the bacon.
I have been to all sorts of places that have claimed to serve “gourmet” hot
dogs, with “gourmet” toppings. Most of these places forget about having a good
piece of meat under all those toppings. Super Duper Weenie does not make this
mistake, and in doing so, lives up to, and surpasses the claim that lies within
it’s name. In short, they truly make a Super Duper Weenie.
On a recent trip to New Orleans, my wife and I went straight here based on the
DDD episode that featured Surrey’s. I must say we were not disappointed since
we also came back the next day before we left town.
Great dive bar. Seems like I saw another one down the road in Martin City– no
idea if they’re related (one of you long timers may know; I’m so new back in
KC), but I’ve only been to this one at 85th & Wornall.
Worth the hype as seen on TV. I was in St Louis for a business trip so I tried
looking up if St Louis had any places featured on Food Network and found out
about this.
Welcome to the Weeping Radish Farm Brewery Corolla Gold, IPA, OBX Beer & Our
Famous Black Radish!
Go here! Beware, you may need to wait a while for a table during peak hours. So
go early and often.
