Finding the perfect pizza is like finding the perfect ramen. Everybody has a different idea of what is perfect. My preference is not oily, not overly cheesy, a little salty, not overwhelmed with meats, dough light with air pockets and chewy but firm either by fire or by design. In other words I’m looking for an Italiano style pizza.
When I first read about Forcella’s deep fried pizza I thought, “Now that’s something different”, which is something I don’t often say about a food like pizza. Apparently deep fried pizza is a popular Neapolitan street food with a near cult-like following. I can see why.
My coworker brought a few bags of these goodies back to the office one morning. They tasted so good, I asked another coworker to sneak me another one because I felt bad for taking seconds… I instantly searched up this place, book marked it, and went to hunt down these foccacias the week after.
