Al’s Breakfast

Al’s Breakfast has been a Dinkytown staple since the 1950s. It’s changed hands a few times since, but has kept the same down-home vibe and many of the original recipes. It’s been featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives and has even won a James Beard award in 2004 in the “America’s Classics Restaurants” category. Cool, huh? I started going to Al’s when I was a freshman in college and have enjoyed the classic breakfast joint ever since.
