Modern may be one of New Haven’s best kept secrets due to Wooster Street, but
it seems like the cat has been let out of the bag! The wait to get in is
starting to catch up (if not longer) than Pepe’s… At least you don’t have to
wait outside here!
Not a bad bar/pub. I was dragged out by a friend who used to live here and she
said this was the happening pace… First night we get there, they had a Bikini
contest… Then good music and more drinking afterwards… It was nice to
people watch :-)
Nick Tahou’s is a Rochester institution. When I think of Rochester, certain
things come to mind including the Genesee, snow, Wegman’s, and Kodak. Garbage
Plates also top my list of associative words with Rochester and have become so
ubiquitous in the Rochester region that everybody and their mother tries to
emulate the Garbage Plate. Non-locals may scoff at the idea of calling a plate
of food a “Garbage Plate” but let it be know that it is not in the least bit
garbage.
Real crab stuffed in big shrimps, 4 pieces over garlic mashed potatoes and
drenched in a garlicky butter sauce. Drooling just thinking about it. Comes
with a vegetable medley on the side which is flavorful also.
Great service. Great food. What more can you ask? I ordered the shrimp
platter… I forgot the name of the dish because I ate the entire plate so
fast! Delish!
Pancake Pantry has a great traditional breakfast that’s pretty hard to beat for
the area, just standard, well prepared diner food and pancakes that are some of
the best I’ve ever had. For diner coffee its actually pretty good, if only
because its brewed relatively strong. The service is typically great, and it’s
a great place to take a baby or kids.
Yes. It’s a good thing that the west side is a bit of a walk from the east
side. I get some exercise in and get to eat my dessert in between. Banana cream
tart is great. I’m also a huge fan of anything fruit, and they have a large
selection. Unlimited refills on coffee is great. I came when I first visited
PVD and had a chance to chat with the staff about living in Providence, etc.
They were all super friendly and welcoming. Great place.
We walked over for take out after a movie. While waiting in the bar, I had the
goat cheese salad. I have been trying to find a goat cheese salad that lives up
to my expectations. Patrizio meets my requirements! The goat cheese was so
strong, it had fresh herbs mixed in and was perfectly fried.
The first time I came here, it was on a spontaneous trip in May with my older
younger brother (W), his two kids, me with the crew. My brother found a coupon
for a buggy ride that was with this restaurant. I’ve never been to Amish
country and it was on my bucket list.
For Omaha, this place is the definative deep dish pizza…but probably for
anywhere else where deep dish is the norm it may not be. So we will take this
from an Omaha point of view. Its good pizza, filling, pizza…hence the name.
Not really the origin of the name, I know, but if they will add some girth to
you.
Wow. This place was awesome. The pizzas are cooked in a wood fired brick
oven. Once put in the oven they are done in 90 seconds. The pizzas are a
great size. One person can finish a pizza and not leave feeling stuffed.

I’m surprised by the less than enthusiastic reviews on here. I had been
wanting to check this place out for quite some time (since the MVF St. Paul
episode), and did not let the negative reviews detract me.
Ever since we saw Rapscallions on Man Vs. Food we’ve been wanting to give them
a try. After quite a bit of driving we finally got our chance. I’m glad to say
it was worth the wait!
I came here for the wings - and they delivered. We tried the diablo, voodoo,
confessor, and desperado wings. They were all good except the voodoo - which
are supposedly a garlic chili flavor but taste more like wings with marinara
sauce on them. Not good.
Was only able to grab a seat at the bar with my wife as dinner time here on a
Saturday without a reso is over an hour. Well, we would have normally waited,
but had a show at the Apollo which limited our time.
I always seem to want ribs at closing time? maybe everybody should stay open
later? I called and ordered Beef Ribs with 5 minutes to spare, I got there five
minutes after closing, I could not believe how many ribs I got!!
A lot of mixed reviews here had me concerned walking in. The place need
cleaning up.. a hodgepodge of weird furniture it just doesn’t seem like a
restaurant or a bar. The servers had stuff left all over the place. Seemed
like the manager/owner had his friends and family there or something along
those lines.
I love Sadie’s! They have HUGE portions of some of Albuquerque’s best New
Mexican food. I think that Sadie’s chips and salsa are the best I’ve ever had.
They’re so addicting!!
This place is always busy so definitely make a reservation. The food is
consistently good. The place is always packed and for good reason. I have
never heard of a person that has had a bad meal here. Chilean Sea Bass and
Lobster Ravioli to incredible antipasto.
