So I’m from LA and my idea of what soul food is is limited to Roscoe’s. I can’t
trust anyone who thinks Melba’s is comparable to Roscoe’s because Roscoe’s is
overrated.
I don’t typically indulge in sweets unless it’s a holiday. I purchased a
Groupon and figured Father’s Day would be a g reat opportunity to use it. I
purchased a lemon/lime blackberry cream pie. It was seasonal so I thought it
would be a good choice. I was wrong. It was the PERFECT choice! It was light
and amazingly delicious!!! Everyone was impressed and I may have had seconds.
In love withh thisnplace. Amazing service, and the Mozzarella is incredibly
fresh, as well as the smoked Mozzarella. I also sat and had the Eggplant Parm,
and wow! They also had olive oil tastings, which was nice. Will be back for the
eggplant.
This place is the carribean equivalent of Au bon pain - the pastry is delicious
and flaky - but don’t bother with the middle of the road interpertations of the
regular carribean or french cuisine.
I have never had such amazing Mexican food! We were a party of 7 on a Thursday
evening and had a short wait to be seated. We ordered a variety of foods and
each one had a very individual flavor. We were all impressed.
Finally, a North End Italian restaurant where the people aren’t full of
themselves and the food is good! Went here last night for the first time with
some friends and a Living Social voucher. All in all a great experience and a
place I will definitely go back to.
Came at the perfect time…2:30ish on a Tuesday. Found FREE parking right
around the corner and it wasn’t crowded at all.
My first time here was 3 weeks ago with the father of the 3 - year old I take
care of on Saturdays, the Toddler, and his twin infant brothers. I ordered the
Chocolate cheesecake mousse to go. It was absolutely rich and delicious.
I am weirdly bemused how I went to Payard yesterday but did not get a macaron.
I think Bisous Ciao completely spoiled me. Here, the macarons were not heavily
guarded by staff. Rather, they are stacked in plastic cases, neatly piled
behind glass shelves…unlocked.
This is the best place to eat in the Charleston. The food here is AMAZING. I
was in a large group of people (10 of us). Our service was great!
Went here for lunch with a few guys from work. Wow… we all got the fish n
chips and it was like eating on a fishing boat with a chef serving you right
out of the ocean!
This place is pretty good and it’s interesting to go once in a while because
it’s different than other hot dog places in taste, eating area, and drinks.
Greek restaurant? Ha GREAT restaurant !!!!!!!!
The food was so good i really never thought of my meal as Greek.
This is my go to spot once a month with my good friend. Food is so yummy!
Service can be a little slow but if you are not in a rush i suggest you turn
into Jamaica mode and force yourself to be on island time…. and just relax
mon!
A delightful and charming little place! As a big fan of “The Family Dog” across
the street, I was excited to check out this sister joint.
Excellent all around. We strolled in on a Saturday night around 9 and timed it
just right to get a 4 top for the two of us. We started with the fresh sardines
with a recommended and well matched white wine which were nice. Then we had the
veal sweet breads which I very much enjoyed and my girlfriend had the pork
plate which was a combo of loins and chops over a bulger, very nice as well.
We went there on a Wednesday night around 7 for the groupon deal. The place was
pretty packed. The place was very modern with good lighting and decor. The
service was excellent and the food came out pretty quickly.
Love that Schnippers is close to my office: I go here regularly for their fresh
market salad. All of the ingredients are always very fresh, but I think the
croutons keep me coming back. They are the most delicious croutons I’ve ever
had.

This place is supposed to be known for their muffaletta, a HUGE sandwich with
olive salad & salami. We got that as well as a shrimp po’boy.
