I’ve been told that this place had a really gaudy, cheap Italiano motif inside
before Restaurant Impossible got its hands on it, so I’m glad that they were
able to tone it down to make it a comfortable environment. The decor now is
minimal and I’m just fine with that - we’re here for the food, right?
This is the Texas BBQ I expected when I went to Austin. JMueller (now known as
LA BBQ) is an unassuming food trailer near South Congress. It’s easy to miss if
you don’t know what you’re looking for. We got there around noon and waited in
line for about 30 min, during which we were handed more free beer than we knew
what to do with.
Joe’s Stone Crab is the BOMB and a must for anyone visiting Miami Beach. This
is our defacto dining place while on vacation and I can’t wait to go back. The
crab cakes and claws and everything else are to die for and the service and
atmosphere are all 5 star.
I had been sitting at the bar, patiently waiting for the bartenders to finish
their drinks, so I would be next. It must have been at least 10 minutes, but
no deal, as I was still chatting with my group yet keeping one eye on the
bartenders for an opening. Plus I know it takes time to make drinks right.
Here at Los Reyes De La Torta we are proud to serve our customers authentic

First time having Filipino food, and I loved it!
This is an ABSOLUTE MUST if you’re able to make it to North Shore. I would
recommend get food at one of the shrimp trucks or at Opal’s then head here for
dessert!
While visiting RI on vacation one evening, my husband and I met up with some
family friends and had dinner at Medierraneo. As a former Rhode Islander, I had
always heard good things about Mediterraneo but had never eaten there.
Our fourth trip to Memphis Barbecue turns out just like the other three. This
place rocks.
I dined there on a busy Friday evening. The food was very good. The service
was fine at our table, but one of the servers was running around almost manic.
She was our “cashier” and was so frantic that she was a little rude when I
didn’t talk fast enough when I was telling her what I had…she was in such a
hurry to serve others that she was kinda rude to some of us. For the food,
it’s definitely worth another visit! For the service, not so much.
I am mildly obsessed with this place and since I work only a couple blocks
away, this is my go-to lunch spot! The concept combines my two favorite
cuisines: Mexican and Barbecue. It does not get much better than that.
Our Chicago friends took us here for the bacon and beer tasting evening, and we
were not disappointed. Five different beers paired with 5 different
bacons…..Yummmmm!
Awesome pizza since re-opening. Can’t recommend the braised veal enough. My kid
can’t get enough of the stromboli. Tiramisu had lots of mascarpone. New
lasagne is really good too. It’s as good as before, with less cheese so the
flavors of the homemade sauces shine. Love it.
I know nothing about Polish food. I actually have never had a pierogi in my
life. As far as I knew, they were those things filled with cabbage, and I
don’t do cabbage. My husband convinced me to try Patti’s after reading about
the place on Yelp and reading the menu.
If you’ve live in LA and have ventured out for food at any point in the last 2
years, you wouldn’ve heard of Zarate. I tried Mas Malo in downtown as a preview
and was a bit underwhelmed. That said, I had read so much press about Picca and
life kept getting in the way. Having previously cancelled twice (I never
cancel!), there was an unusual amount of anticipation built up when I finally
got around to trying Picca and it was, well I don’t want to spoil it so read
the rest of the…
In short, Pondicheri is a great establishment. Not only do the interiors
reflect a cool industrial feel, but the location is tucked and hidden. More
importantly, the food is fantastic.
After Pub Fiction reached out to me about a less-than-pleasant experience back
on Valentine’s Day, I was honestly very surprised. I wholeheartedly appreciate
their business trying to amend matters. Hearing from them and knowing they care
about their customers’ visits was more than enough for me but also bestowing a
gift card was extra, extra generous of them.
The food was fresh, it was obviously prepared that day. The pizza was warm - it
didn’t even need to go in the oven since it was a summer day. The sandwich was
reasonably priced and well-prepared. There was a sample plate of delicious
pizza bread on the countertop.
Chili Frank Plate and other “local style” plate lunches. Their burgers are good
too!
This is literally one of the reasons you would visit Juneau! When you walk in.
Its all sawdust floors, live music, and friendly people and staff. A lot of
history throughout the whole place and other funny nick nacks all around. They
have many drinks there but you don’t want anything else but ALASKA beer. I
recommend Summer and White Ale.
