This place has fantastic BBQ. Their brisket is moist, tasty and flavorful.
Their sausage is also outstanding (although I prefer Meyers sausage a bit
more). The ribs are also very good. I believe the brisket is better than
neighboring Meyers, but Meyers beef sausage is a bit better than here. So
depends on what you want. Also, really good cobbler with huge portion.
Im a huge green chili fan so after moving to Pueblo a couple of month’s ago
I’ve made it my mission to try every slopper in town. From an outsiders point
of view, without being emotionally attached to a restaurant like many Puebloans
seem to be, so far the sunset has the biggest and the best. In my opinion the
Coors Tavern slopper didn’t even come close.
We just happened to check this place out during the last week for lunch. We’re
so disappointed that we wont be eating again. But it was definitely worth the
time searching this cool little place out.
After watching a special about “The Clam Shack” on the show “Unique Eats” my
husband and I decided to plan our long awaited trip to Maine. For the past
6-years we’ve wanted to visit Maine but some reason or another other plans
prevailed. As a seafood lover and after seeing those 1lb lobster rolls on the
show, that evening we booked a weekend trip to Maine.
This place is awful awful good! Get the burger, seriously. Watch the seedy
characters in the casino, or if there’s room belly up to the counter and chat
with the cooks. Either way you can’t go wrong with the burger.
Food Coma. This about sums up what you will experience after eating here. We
visited for the second time just last night. The wait is always long, 1.5 hours
is average, thankfully it was a lovely night so we order cocktails and sat
outside.
Stewart P. and I came here for a mid afternoon lunch yesterday. I wanted
something good and cheap, and trust me, White Knight Diner fits the bill.
So I get a call from my OG buddy Robert, who tells me he wants to go to
Wurstkuche. I ask him what the deal is with the place. He says they sell
sausages and beer. If there is anyone who knows a thing or two about wieners,
it’s Robert, so I tell him to get his gelatinous ass over here and we roll on
over.
I’ve been here twice for lunch. Nice touristy place with a bit of that
fishing-town feel. Service was good both times. We’ve had BLT’s and
fish-and-chips, both were very good. The only complaint was that one day they
advertised pumpkin pie on the outdoor sign as if it was special of the day. The
pie was unremarkable.
This place is definitely a dive, and I was a little scared to eat off the
plates and use the silverware, and the sandwich is made with straight-up white
bread. It kind of reminds me of the soup place on Seinfeld - if you don’t know
how to order, and do it fast, you will get a dirty look! “No bbq for you!”
I walked up and ordered and was immediately thanked for coming when I mentioned
I hadn’t been there before– nice touch. This was also the first time I had a
Sonoran hot dog in my life; shame on m— okay, I’ll cool it with that. All I
have to say…amazing.
They have two types of toppings - whipped cream and meringue. I went with
meringue and it was tasty for sure. I thought one slice was just perfect for
sharing.
We saw this restaurant on Food,Wars, and being lifelong West Coasters on our
first visit to Nebraska, we knew that we wanted an authentic Omaha steakhouse
experience. Caniglia’s certainly fit the bill.
They make a good Italian hot dog. They only thing I would want to change is for
then to use thicker fries on the Italian hot dog. Their Italian hot dog is a
100 times better then Jim Buffs because Jim Buffs is very grease.
ame here for old times sake after our grandmother’s passing.
I have been going to Chickie’s & Pete’s Cafe for dinner for a number of years
now. When it is Bluepoint Crab season and when you are in a mood for some hot
shrimp, mussels or littleneck clams then this is the place to be.
We always seem to eat at the Duffs on Orchard Park road a few times in the
winter season. It is a favorite stop for our youth hockey team (Near Leisure
Rink). The wings are great and the additional fare is also good to eat.
Prices are fair, and the service is quick even to a large group.
It was sausage with bacon, grilled onions, mayo, tomatoes and mustard. The
bread has a sweet flavor. I also had a beef carmelo and it was really good.
There are lots of self serve toppings and the prices are pretty reasonable. If
you are in the area, check it out.
Gates BBQ, from what the townfolk have told me, is the original real-deal KC
bbq: sauce, spicy, and plentiful. Pickles on the side, with a bun/toast slice
on the side.
Wow I saw one of my childhood memories on TV. Grey’s Coors Tavern was having
come kind of cook off with a restaurant in Pueblo West. This must have been
what inspired my Pueblo food dreams of the last couple of days. Can’t wait to
go back this summer….. Grey’s, Mill Stop, Passkeys, Do-Drop………..All of
my old childhood eating favorites.
