I have been emailing back and forth with a coworker about the very serious
topic of cupcakes :) We were discussing places we’ve tried and she is convinced
that Smallcakes is heaven on Earth. This cupcakery has been on my list of
places to visit for many months. I have heard mixed reviews, but once she told
me that she couldn’t remember how many cupcakes she ate because everything was
a (happy) blur after the first bite I knew I needed to get more serious about
putting a check mark…
Stopped in here for the second time yesterday and it was SO GOOD. I couldn’t
choose between the 10 or so delicious sounding flavors, so I got the Sweet
Potato and Red Velvet cupcakes, while the hubby chose the Church Lady Chocolate
($3.25 each).
I’ve come to Sticky Fingers a few times, usually for dessert. The brownies are
AMAZING. I’m really not into their cupcakes. The frosting has the consistency
that coats your teeth and makes you feel kinda gross.
Cupcakes are $2.50 - $3.00 each, which is a little pricey, but for the
occasional treat it’s not too bad. My personal favorites are the Reese’s Riot,
Pistachio, and Red Velvet, but it’s always difficult to choose when you are
standing in front of that long glass case filled with the day’s offerings.
I drive past this shop all the time and today decided to finally stop in for a
look. So glad I did as a look, turned into a purchase.
I don’t know what took me so long to review sweet daddies. This place is
probably the best cupcake shop in the valley. I’m lucky that its on my side of
town although they have another shop in Chandler. I’ve been here probably 20
times since they have opened and I’ve never been disappointed. Yesterday we had
4 and took them home. My only complaint is the boxes they use don’t give you
much room. If you tilt them at all, like put in back seat of car, sometimes
they…
Nothin says lovin like somethin from the oven. Everything about the cupcakes &
shop remind me of home. Warm and welcoming, unpretentious presentation of the
cupcakes, funky mismatched shabbychic eating area. The atmosphere of this shop
is a refreshing change from the elitist vibe of stuffy boutique shops.
I’ve been here several times since my last review and have expanded beyond the
delicious cupcakes to their other wonderful desserts. I have tried several
desserts here including the white chocolate cheesecake with strawberries (as
beautiful as it is delicious), chocolate fondue, hot chocolate sundae (the mix
of spicy and cold is addicting), the s’mores (complete with your own mini camp
fire), the caramel bread pudding, and the french doughnuts. All desserts were
delicious!
Once upon a time in the delicious city of Miami lived two girls, on a mission
to create the perfect cupcake. On February 14, 2008 the girls jokingly wrote
comments to their friends on MySpace about their flavor-licious concoctions.
MySpace comments and messages started sprinkling in, before they knew it 30
plus orders were set for Valentine’s Day. Wondering how they came up with the
tasty mix? It wasn’t a hand me down from Abuelita Mima or a cookbook recipe,
trial and error baking sessions…
Although they did not win Cupcake Wars, they are a winner in my book. Their
cupcakes are fresh and so moist! They use the perfect amount of frosting that
is not overly sweet to make your teeth hurt. I also love how they have mini
cupcakes and regular sizes.
I love it here! After living in New Orleans since August, toad was my first
time going. My sister, her husband, and I were having the who is going to stay
outside with the dog so the other two can go in conversation when the owner or
work inside said we could bring my pup inside. No one else was there so I guess
he knew we wouldn’t disturb anyone. This thrilled me as I would go in to many a
store and purchase on my Magazine Street walks if they allowed my dog in too!
Excellent service.
I used to get my birthday cakes from this place back before it was Bruces. I am
pleased to see that it has endured for several decades. They changed the name,
and added some schlock (Baker to the Stars indeed) but the quality and taste of
the baked goods as remained as high and as delicious as it was years ago.
I really like Jake’s wings and fried goodies. There is one set of wings that I
don’t like was ponchos. The regular wings are probably my favorite in Chicago.
Good beers and good atmosphere. This is more of a sport bar theme which is
probably why they have good appetizers and such. My wife had the nachos which
she loved. The spinach dip is pretty good too.
If you know anything at all about BBQ in Texas, you know about this company. If
you are a serious cook or competitive smoker, you will either have one of these
pits or be wanting one.
Most people believe that a lardon is a strip or cube of pork fat used in an
extensive variety of cuisines to flavour savoury foods and salads. However, in
the context of this site, a ‘lardon’ refers to all the goodness that can be
derived from a fat, juicy valuable backlink to your site.
Stopped by here today for lunch because I was both hungry and curious - hungry
because I almost always am, and curious because someone I met in another BBQ
joint recently, said he’d heard talk Monk was now mincing his pig. Happily, I
can say after my latest visit that this is not true, and I’m not quite as
hungry as I started out.
Just had dinner there in a Sunday night. Quiet but good. Try the ceviche. It’s
excellent! They put olives in it which I’m not a fan of but works wonderfully
with their recipe. I could have ordered a second round it was so fresh. For
dinner I had the carne asada and they cooked it beautifully. Normally I would
have ordered tacos but I tend to be predictable. I would check this place out
again. I give it two thumbs up.
The hubster and I took his mom to Max’s for Sunday brunch today. Made a
reservation through opentable and our table was reserved when we arrived 5
minutes early. The music was louder than we would have liked, but not
obnoxious. The place was full but not incredibly packed at 2:30 PM.
Welcome to Mindy’s HotChocolate Restaurant and Dessert Bar. While we know that
you have many dining choices, we wholly commit ourselves to exceed your
expectations in all areas of your dining experience.
Got Kalbi burger and Seven burger to go for dinner. They were gooood. The folks
in the kitchen know how to cook good food. Bread is soft, cheese is melted to
perfection, sauteed veggies sauteed water-fully & fresh veggies kept fresh. And
the patty…. Juicy, sweet & soft! Muah.
