Featured on Diners, Dive-Insm, and Dives! Great place in Long Beach. First
timer and very pleased. Will defenitely go back. Got the Tast of Darwell’s and
shared with my partner. Next time I will try the burger. Bands daily and BYOB!
I recently tried Defonte’s for lunch for the first time and I was very
impressed. I am very particular when is comes to Italian Deli’s and the Nicky
Special was one of the best versions of the Italian combo that I have found.
Excellent potato and egg sandwich, nearly as good as my mothers. Someone
behind me in line, obviously someone who didn’t know better, said outloud,
“isn’t that a breakfast sandwich?” C’mon! I had them 86 the Virginia ham - not
that I don’t like Virginia ham but not on a potato and egg sandwich (way I was
raised).
Love this place in fact we are going here in a little while. Have the ditka
chop and tell them not well done you will love Burgers are also good. I
know it’s a chicken a chicken spot but try other items you will not be
disappointed.
Hands down, this is my favorite Italian place in Baltimore. It puts the
restaurants in Little Italy to shame! Authentic Italian dishes, affordable
prices, and great-looking waitresses. What else can you ask for?
I was here with my husband, mother-in-law and daughter in July 2012 and had
lunch. I ordered the turkey pesto on garlic bread… Oh my gosh… It was so
amazing! There was turkey, sun-dried tomato spread, greens, tomato, havarti(I
think).
You know that ‘go to’ restaurant that’s always in the back of your mind when
you’re trying to figure out where you want to get a bite to eat? Well that
restaurant is Dish for me. It doesn’t mean I always go there, but it’s always
up for consideration.
Food is Cajun, Southern and Southwestern. Music has one volume - ours.
Reservations recommended.
I don’t know why Don Chow gets hated on so much. DC was featured on “Diners,
Drive-Ins and Dives,” has become a very established food truck in downtown Los
Angeles and almost serves as USC’s official food truck since it caters to us
Trojans so much of the time.

Dad’s getting up there in digits. How guilty would I feel if he met his maker
without having gone to The Dor-Stop?
Last heard it was closed…
Such were the words uttered by my friends and I collectively as we attempted to
eat at Burma Star one sunny afternoon. Alas, it was a 15 minute wait. Usually,
I have no problem with waiting that long, however we had not eaten all day. A
quick search on the trusty Yelp app revealed this nifty spot nearby. A quick
walk and we were there.
Great little restaurant on Maple Ave. I’ve only eaten inside once. Had
enchiladas and pozole. Both were quite good. Regularly stop here to grab
quick takeout when I just need a quick simple meal. Good queso, fantastic
spicy salsa (that doesn’t have onions, so I’m a HUGE fan) and I actually like
their refried beans and rice. Normally I don’t care for either except at one
other local place known for their green cilantro salsa.
To say The BBQ Shack is amazing would be an understatement. This Paola eatery
is a top place for me. I have never been disappointed. The food is out of this
world. There is nothing they don’t do right. Meat is so flavorful and moist. I
love their ribs, brisket, sausage. I usually can’t decide on what to get
because I want a little bit of everything.
I tried this place out again. It was amazing. The ribs were big and juicy, so
good. The sides were delicious. The service was on top of it and gave my friend
and I great suggestions on beer and rib pairings.
The pork belly buns were really good as was the Mister Miyagi. Skip the $25
duck liver burger. It was good but it wasn’t as nearly good as the other
burgers that were half the price.
It was difficult to find this place, as it is tucked away in a neighborhood
against a railroad line and adjacent an apartment-looking office park. But it
was cute and tasty.
Love bang! My wife and I love going to anything that has been on Food Network
and this is classic American food done very well.
