Remember when you were a kid and you could eat practically anything short of a
car tire and run it off, sleep it off, shrug it off? Yeah, well, there’s a
certain age you reach where that just doesn’t work anymore. And Ms. Tootsies is
your wake up call.
That said, their Tomato Soup is OK. It’s nice to have to dip the Grilled
Cheese Sandwich in. So, I would recommend ordering the Combo.
Bring your sense of humor and get ready to eat, drink, and be merry. Mustard’s
is set up to delight both your funny bone and your palate.
The food wasn’t that bad but they should give more for the price they are
charging. I’m not from the area and this place was the least busiest and wanted
to continue my last experience of Detriot food before heading back home.
I still think they take a long time to make the sandwich but I guess it’s
“freshly” prepared (they warm up the meat in the microwave) but whatever, it’s
good and convenient. Recommend if you live on the LES or if you’re passing
through!
I walked in there a few days ago with a date, looking for a hot cup of apple
cider. We asked the waitress and she informed us it was only available as part
of the brunch menu.
Absolutely Fantastic!! The service and food was impeccable with an atmosphere
that was vibrant and energetic, a great place to start your morning off.
Despite the polarized reviews, we walked up to Norma’s this AM w/o a
reservation. Were told 35-40 mins and seated in about 25. We had great
service, though the kitchen was rather slow with our entree’s coming out after
about 30 mins. Food nice and hot though and not dried out from sitting under a
warmer, just a slow kitchen.
There was pulled pork, pork shoulder (or butt), ribs, brisket, chicken, and
some sausages. All smoked in wonderful aromas. the sides were a bit weak in
terms of selection. Some buns, white bread, cole slaw, and beans.
I’ve been at Oishii twice and absolutely LOVE it. Service is superb, food is
top notch, drinks are delicious and desserts are amazing.
Went to Miami for a long weekend in October and while we had several excellent
meals in the area, OLA was without a doubt the best. The ceviche is amazing,
salad wonderful, pandebono delicious, and mains were both fantastic.
The anticipation built up after having Oleana on my list since my first year in
Boston was huge. Though I wasn’t outright disappointed, there was just
something missing out of the whole experience that left me less than fully
satisfied.
Every dish my wife and I tried, here, was absolutely out of this world!
Fantastic flavors from start to finish.
It doesn’t get any better than this when you’re talking wieners. I’m talking
New York System here, not your average everyday run of the mill hot dog. The
wieners I’m talking about would have Indiana Jones risking his life to find
(forget the Temple of Doom).
Beautiful, ritzy hotel with tons of history. You have Malcolm X and Ho Chi Minh
as previous employees, and Charles Dickens and John Wilkes Booth both having
stayed at the hotel too. Not to mention that It’s the place that came up with
the original Boston cream pie! I’m loving the history of the place!
I really love Osteria, I always forget about it because of it’s location, but
our last visit has solidified it on our list of favorite restaurants.
I was diagnosed with gluten intolerance a few months ago and sadly assumed they
wouldn’t be able to accomodate such a limited diet (I’m also vegetarian). We
stopped visiting.
We came here because of my DD&D’s app, which maps out all the places Guy Fieri
has visited. Yes, there’s a wait, but not so bad. They quoted us 25 minutes
and we got in in something like 8 minutes. The tables & chairs are 50’s style
retro. Very clean with a fun look. The place is a little crowded and you’ll
be sitting almost elbow to elbow with your neighbor, but it’s friendly and kind
of fun.
Best Onion Rings, Great Fried Clams, really good value Lobster Roll, Really
good Mussels, fish Sandwich is terrific. One of the few clam shacks that will
substitute. for example, onion rings instead of fries on a Platter, a small
upcharge but a great policy.
I got suckered into getting the fish tacos.. and let me tell you, it was GOOD!
The fish was super juicy and didn’t have that gross fishy smell or taste. It
was fresh and that’s how all fish should be!
