I stopped by after work and found it with the help of GPS. A small location
tucked away in Camden, NJ, the trip is well worth it. It’s more secure than
some banks. All orders are to go since there are only two benches inside to
wait for your order.
I can’t help but formulate a Yelp review inside my head practically every time
I come to Parc (dork alert). My betwixt and between mind has finally settled
on the decision that this is my favorite restaurant in Philadelphia. That’s an
incredibly bold statement, especially for me.
Picture this… a local restaurant tucked away from the touristy areas in
Uptown with old-school professional service and outstanding fresh oysters. The
tiny oyster bar, which has room for perhaps 8 guests (is standing only), had
the MOST amazing oysters and all the fixin’s.
I was staying in the hotel and walked down for breakfast. For 2 sandwiches and
a chocolate crepe and cappuccino it cost $40 which is pricey but it was
excellent. The food was literally finger licking good and my kids asked for
seconds. I was tempted to eat the rest of my meals there but couldn’t afford
that price tag for the small portions. A local discount at ANY of the strip
hotels would be nice since we keep them open in the lean times.
From the unexpected touch-of-mustard slaw to the bits of crunchy, flavor-soaked
bark in the pork, this is IT. The best pork sandwich I’ve ever tried,
anywhere, hands down. There’s not even a close second.
Pearls Phat Burgers is the perfect place if you are looking for a good food
coma. The establishment only has a few tables, but while their space is on the
smaller side, their burgers are ginormous! I have been here several times and
each time I try something different. On this particular occasion I got the
Spicy Sly chicken sandwich. This is no joke. It’s hot. I made the mistake of
getting a beer to wash it down. I wish I had gotten a milk! All in all it was
delicious and I will be going…
Best Chinese food in the area! It’s fun to look at all the old pictures on
the walls of famous Washingtonians. We’ve had some good spottings there, too.
One night I was really craving Singaporean food and came upon this listing on
yelp and the restaurant was close to our apartment.
As family as a family restaurant comes - Pete & Sam’s is our staple spot (like
macaroni and cheese in Mommy’s pantry).
Wow. That about sums up this legendary NYC icon. I was lucky enough to snag a
table with a friend of mine while visiting over New Years, and it was
fantastic! I had heard how amazing this place was from a number of different
people and television so I had high expectations to say the least. It met and
exceeded everyone of them!
I cannot count how many times I have frequented this place. It’s a usual haunt
for myself and my boy, and I believe that now they recognize us. Just a
warning, they WILL come to take your order almost immediately, but don’t be
afraid to tell them you need more time. Also, I don’t know how well this
restaurant meets the “Traditional Vietnamese” moniker, but it doesn’t matter,
it’s still so very yummy.
WIthout a smidge out of a doubt, this is the most deliciously authentic
southern Italian food in Bay Ridge. Can you find a better scene in Bay Ridge?
yes. Can you find bigger portions? yes. Can you find typical American Italian
food? yes.
It is, perhaps, a bit felicitous that I just happened to wander through a park
filling up with protestors, that would in the following weeks become known as
the Occupy Wall Street movement, while on my way to what turned out to be not
only the best, but also most indulgent meal of 2011, a year rife with debate
over the haves and the have nots. I definitely had, a lot, at Picholine, and
there’s no doubt that they left me feeling like I was part of the 1%.
We stopped here on our way back to AZ and it was a great experience. Friendly
staff, good home cooked food and amazing pie.
I had a great dinner at Pierpoint. It was a Tuesday night and the place was
pretty empty. We had appetizers, entrees, and desert. My lamb was spectacular
and I found our waitress to be SO informative in answering all questions and
being informative. What I will say is that the food is formal and the
atmosphere is casual. I actually really appreciate that, but I think it can be
off-putting to some people. I see a lot of the reviews weren’t that impressed
with food and I’m sad to see…
Pierre is one of those typical French guys who apprenticed as a cook/baker in
his parents’ restaurant since practically birth - and now embraces the bachelor
life like a life-line. But this isn’t about the man, but his business. And
the man knows about authentic French fare.
I agree, though I confess never to have been at Peter Luger’s. But I’ve been
to every other name steakhouse many times each. Every non-steak dish I’ve had
at Pietro’s has been good, too–and as a mid-20th century child, I love the
old-school vibe.
Yes, that’s the story to this place. Man grows up in Brooklyn, falls in love
with Arizona, moves himself to said Arizona, opens a pizza place and BOOM! You
have Pizzeria Bianco.
We had a superb bone in rib eye steak paired with a bottle of barolo from 2003,
and mashed potatoes with lobster as a side. Great experience! And the bread was
warm and delicious. What I did not like was all the waiters running around
being stressed.
cWe had an excellent bottle of chilled white wine. We then sat down to a hot
cheese and mushroom soufflé. From there, we ordered an assortment of dishes
from the impressive menu list.
