We went to Provisions because it was highly recommended to us by a vegetarian
salesgirl in town…she told me I HAD to try the Caprese and I had heard good
things about Provisions already so we went for lunch today.
Today was technically the second time I stepped into Prune. The first time I
wanted to eat there, but their fat hostess was extremely rude and made me not
want to come again.
Staff matched the décor: a bit rustic, harsh on the outside, but soft and cozy
once you get to know them.
Some seating is available but it does get packed in here quick. There is a TV
playing Chinese movies at the restaurant. They have a restroom in the back. On
each table you will find chopped cilantro in a container, a water jug,
chopsticks, spoons and napkins. Their chili sauce is excellent, ask for it if
you want to add some spice to your meal. Our server was nice and quick in
taking our order. All our dishes came out in a timely manner but the Baby Bok
Choy took much longer.
I had met up with my new client here knowing this location was one of the few
East Side Restaurant participating in Restaurant Week. We both had an excellent
lunch at Purple.
My family was in town so I wanted to take them somewhere nice for brunch. My
wife has really wanted to go to RDG Bar Annie since it opened. We decided
rather late to go there and I was worried about getting reservations.
I’ve been wanting to try RM Seafood for a while a it was out standing in many
levels. First off the service could not have been better. I really wanted the
clam chowder, but with what we ordered, it would have been too much, but the
server was so kind to bring me a small bowl with several spoonfuls of chowder
to try.
My mom and I headed to KRS for our special, holiday (and babyfree) dinner out.
I had been wanting to dine at a Rathbun restaurant for while and can’t believe
it took me this long.
There’s no tutti fruity names like The Californian or The West Virginian found
here. You’ll only find those concoctions at that other hot dog place on the
other side of town.
There place is great, plain and simple. Their food is amazing and the drink
selection is wonderful. Ray’s is a restaurant by day, bar at all times. There
are two floors each sporting it’s own bar.
I haven’t been to this place in a couple years since I moved out of TN, but I’m
glad to see that others seem to confirm it still has it!
One of my favorite Milwaukee spots! Good chili, always hot and delicious.
Really friendly staff and usually open late. I get the hot with all the sides
and I get a 2nd helping to go pretty often. They usually offer me a to-go cup
for my beverage since they have free refills. Always reliable, reasonable, and
consistent. Great for our cold winter months in the MKE, or a great hangover
cure.
I’m not sure what else can be said at this point that hasn’t already been said.
This place was fantastic. The interior of the restaurant was really cool (I
like that it was a big, open space, but it wasn’t overly noisy). The wine
selection was outstanding (according to our server, they pride themselves on
offering good wine at reasonable prices). And the Blood Orange Margarita MIGHT
be better than the ones at Benjy’s. I know. I know. I couldn’t believe it
either.
CLOSED
If I could give August more than five stars I certainly would. My experience
was outstanding from the minute I entered and was presented with an amuse
bouche, until I sipped the last drop of moscato and ate the final piece of
chocolate chess pie.
There aren’t many restaurants that my gf and I visit multiple times during the
same trip. When we visit some place new, we like to try to get a fair lay of
the land. However, with foie gras being illegal in CA, there are only a few
options in Memphis.
The beef heart was delicious- the aoili on the plate was the true star, though.
Thinly sliced, heavily breaded- it went extremely well with its plating.
Wow! Revel is one of those spots that is people are always talking about. It’s
a hot spot. it’s unique. It’s Korean fusion. To be honest, I didn’t really know
what to expect. I was blown away by the unique menu offerings, large portions,
and the nonstop flavors.
I was not a fan of rice pudding until I came here. I had rum raisin and it was
delicious. I had the smallest portion size and it was more than enough for me.
When I went in here, the smell of chocolate was so amazingly overwhelming that
I became totally varklempt. I could barely speak. I was shaking, on the verge
of hyperventilation.
