If you are in Cleveland from out of town…especially LA, Texas, or the
southwest, you probably shouldn’t bother eating here. You will have far too
biased an opinion on what Mexican inspired food should taste like. Also, if
you’ve only eaten at Mexican places where the name starts with “El” and
contains the name of a resort town in Mexico, you also should steer clear- you
can’t get a “combo plate” of sodium for $5.99.
Loteria Grill was pretty darn good tonight! I don’t know why or how I had no
clue this was here until I looked upstairs today and saw their sign.
This is a great place. The menu is huge so we asked the waiter (so helpful!)
to recommend some of the restaurant’s specialties. What we were served was an
array of food that you don’t see at most Thai restaurants in the US. Where’s
the Pad Thai? Where’s the chicken satay?
Great food off the beaten path served in a cool and welcoming environment. I’ve
been to Lovin Oven 2-3 times now and every time I leave fuller than the last.
The eggs benedict is the best I’ve had yet. I have traveled all over and
compare my favorite breakfast entree to many nice restaurants, but Lucky’s has
thickly shredded ham on top of a great textured english muffin and egg with
hallondaise sauce.
I’ve been here for a loud girl’s night and a date, and both times I went balls
to the wall with the food and draaank.
Absolutely fantastic renovated hotel right off the Beach in Montauk. From the
trendy decor in the brand new hotel rooms surrounding the modern pools to the
numerous open bars gorgeously set on the property, the Montauk Beach House is
the perfect location for a weekend in the Hamptons.
According to Yelp I’m 21 miles from Montauk Brewery but It’s not that close
because it’s across the Long Island Sound from me. On a recent vacation to the
Hamptons I had to make the trip to visit their taproom & was not disappointed.
I would never even have given this place a second look had I not seen it on
Triple D. I decided to try it because I figured it would not be on the show if
it wasn’t any good. It was only alright. First of all, it is definitely a bar.
Love this place! Seriously good, cheap (compared to inside the park) eats. This
is a definite stop before any Sox game. They’re 100 times better than anything
in the Cell.
I was completely blown away by the sunset I witnessed here last night. I’ve
seen some great sunsets in my time, but this was perfection - complete with
beautiful sailboats in the distance on the calmness of the bay.
Sunday breakfast in Lancaster should be a special meal. Scrapple, a grilled
sticky bun - with butter, an omelette and coffee.
Cole’s is known for their french dip sandwiches (which are pretty tasty) but
tonight I had their mac n’ cheese and was impressed. Thick macaroni with tons
of cheese (two different types) and toasted bread crumbs on top!
I do have to say: I wasn’t too impressed with the service at first. A bartender
who asks us three times whether or not we want to have an alcoholic beverage
with our brunch (once should have been enough to determine we really only want
coffee and OJ). And then the 30 minute wait until our food finally made it to
the bar…
Went here today after seeing it on “The United States of Bacon”. I ordered a
Adult Grilled Cheese and my Girlfriend ordered a steak sandwich. We both
ordered Bacon Bloody Marys and we also got bacon wrapped water chestnuts.
I’ve had but 3 different wines here and they are all delicious. Seriously, The
Riesling is the best I’ve ever had (the 2008 I believe) and I’ve been up North
to wine country so that’s saying something. The Syrah Port is GREATNESS, nice
dessert wine after your meal. The other wine was Remy Martin, seriously it’s a
wine, and you can NEVER go wrong with the cognac.
We went today for lunch and used a recently purchased groupon - so we ordered
more than we would ordinarily. The bill came to $30 for 2 large entrees and 2
sodas - not cheap, but there are leftovers for at least 1 dinner.
Some friends wanted to check out this place so I came along (they mentioned
there was a burlesque show which sounded interesting). We went on a Saturday
night.
I stopped in Thursday after work around 6:00 while waiting for a movie to start
at the Siskel Film Center at 8:15. This is one of the few unpretentious
places near downtown where I can hang out with friends and kick back to relax
for a bit before heading home or catching a movie/show/whatnot.
I had the loaf-o-rama and a side of mac n’ cheese. I’d give five stars, but I
would’ve liked to have paid a bit less than $15. However, I’d go back again
without blinking an eye.
