The original Billy Goat Tavern location was “born” in 1934 when Greek immigrant, William “Billy Goat” Sianis, purchased the Lincoln Tavern.Billy Goat bought the tavern for $205, with a check that bounced but was later repaid with sales from the first weekend. I live in New York. On most cuisines in the United States, that means a narrow if not a wide victory. Mexican is not one of them. This is that story.

Frank is reminiscent of some great Chicago places. Vienna hot dogs, run through the garden…that’s me….or speciality dogs and sausages…not so me, but still good. And, yes, they put their Viennas on poppy seed buns, which gets a plus from me.

I was there for a work function so I didn’t have to pay for my drinks, but I wouldn’t need drinks to enjoy this place anyway. The band was awesome, the dancing was so much fun, the bartenders were very good at their jobs, and the atmosphere is great.

Every self-respecting Austinite has a Magnolia story. As a St. Ed’s alum, I have a lot. I’ve loved taking my family here for brunch; the coffee and shopping opportunities at Primrose next door make the long waits manageable.

Can words properly describe Miguel’s? Probably not, but I’ll do my best.
Miguel’s is by far my favorite food trailer in Austin. I spent most of my childhood in Miami so I know Cuban food the likes of Versailles and let me tell you, these guys know Cuban. There are some secrets and important tips in this review, so pay attention!

OMG! So good! I will definitely come back here for brunch when I visit NYC next. I love being taken to places that isn’t touristy and are places that are frequented by the locals. I enjoyed everything I ate here. I don’t really like oatmeal but for some reason I LOVED their oatmeal here (my friend ordered it) and their biscuits were delicious! I love the ambiance and I love how clean the restrooms are. Don’t forget to take some picture in their picture booth!

Holy mother of GOD this place is hilarious. We came here after our Community Manager Week and wanted to unwind and boy was this the perfect place to do so. With so many CM’s from all over the world I loved seeing their faces walk into this establishment, and here’s why…

Is it pricey? Sure. Is it one of the best hot dogs I’ve ever had? No question.

I want to start out by saying that the pizza was great and it was my least favorite thing that we ordered. I’m preggers and had recently devoured the Bisteca Insalata along with a Pepperoni Pizza with my husband. A few weeks ago he was feeling under the weather so I ordered him the Spinach and Kidney Bean Soup and got myself the Due Fratelli Salad. Wow! Really.

For years, masses of people have been flocking to the corner of 53rd street & 6th avenue to satisfy their hunger with simply the best meal in the City. Some people call it the ‘Platter’ while others know it as ‘Chicken & Rice’, the ‘Chicken Guy’ or the ‘Gyro Spot.’ Part of the secret to this delicious meal is in the white sauce. Nobody knows what it is, but everybody knows to ask for lots of it!

This is such a cute place, too, with crayon drawings covering the walls. I don’t think I’ve ever had much of a wait for a table, maybe one time. I’m pretty sure I’ve also had a milkshake here before and loved that too but I do not remember the flavor. If I lived nearby I would go here a lot.

My wife is originally from East Texas, so she knows biscuits and gravy. We both finished every bite on our plates and left uncomfortably full. The vibe and the attitude alone go a long way. She had the Straight Up Bitch (Biscuits and Gravy) and I had the Smokin’ Hot Bitch (Biscuits and Gravy topped with cheddar, jalapeños, and a Louisiana Hot Link). I still have to pinch myself to make sure it was real.
