Mama’s Boy Southern Table & Refuge

Isn’t a terrific feeling when you know upon entering a restaurant that you’re in for a special evening. Well, this is precisely what happened when our party of three was greeted by Greer, the owner of Mama’s Boy. Greer is more than the owner. She is the spiritual leader of the place, its soul and inspiration.

Let’s start with decor which was terrific. Mama’s Boy is beautiful without being pretentious and overbearing–it all seems to work in a modern yet comfortable way. We dined on a relatively uncrowded Wednesday night so I cannot comment on the noise level which tends to be a problem in so many restaurants these days.
