Decided to give this place another try. Beers are good but really, the food
isn’t that great. Had the chicken which was flavorless and bland. The chocolate
tart was meh. For the price they charge, the foods not even aesthetically
pleasing. I definitely don’t believe the people who rave about the food even
mean it, either that or they’ve never had a good, flavorful meal in their
entire life.
A girlfriend and I split a mountain of mussels & DUCK FAT potatoes. These are
the moules all others have to stand up to now.
Good atmosphere and perfect place for taking visitors from out of town.
I brought someone for business dinner and It turned out to be a good one.
LAMILL Coffee is one of the better coffee houses & roasters in LA. I’d
personally rank the espresso fourth after Cognoscenti, Single Origin and
Intelligentsia.
I was recently here for an event that was hosted by MasterCard & Priceless NYC,
which was a Build Your Own Gingerbread House event, which was hosted in
Landmarc’s private dining room.
My husband and I enjoyed a lovely dinner at Lantern last night. The atmosphere
makes it feel like a special occasion, even if it isn’t. Food-wise, there were
some outstanding hits, and an equal number of misses.
Talk about star struck. We were lucky enough to get seats at the counter, and I
just stared at Rucker the entire night. When he asked us how everything was, I
mumbled something about thinking it was awesome and thanked him. Then, he said,
“No, thank you,” and I practically died right there. It’s like in high school
when you found out your crush actually noticed you.
This is a restaurant I can return to again and again! Linger has got the right
stuff: great food; awesome cocktails; and an enchanting ambiance. I can’t
think of a single thing I didn’t enjoy.
For brunch, we had the lemon ricotta pancakes (the lemon curd is awesome) and
breakfast stromboli (so creative to have a poached egg in the center); both
were delicious. In fact, Locanda Verde has inspired me to make my own lemon
ricotta pancakes! The cinnamon bun is buttery and flavorful, with just the
right amount of icing. It just melts in the mouth with each bite.
Overall I’m a fan. It’s one of my favorites. It’s doing just fine and I don’t
think anything I say here will change that, nor would I want it to. I want
them to continue to succede. They deserve it.
Came here on small business saturday loaded with synced AmEx cards. Our group
of 4 ordered 2 of their Eastern European tasting menu and then added chicken
pops and dan dan noodles.
After the former M. Wells closed, I committed to trying to show more restraint
when the new incarnation was born. Like a failed New Year’s resolution, it
lasted about a month… and last week I found myself feasting there with
friends two days in a row.
MB Post is very out of the way for me so when I had to pick up the sister from
LAX, it was the perfect opportunity to swing by for brunch. It did not
disappoint.
We went after the 5pm show of the Holiday Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall.
Ma Peche is around 5 blocks away and had a table for 2 available!
I came here with a friend for one of the many organized “Yelp Builds Back”
events running during November and December. Mable’s donated 20% of Wednesday
night’s proceeds to relief/rebuilding in Red Hook, and we managed to fill our
stomachs up as well!
Food was fantastic- everything cooked perfectly and FULL of flavor. Service
was friendly, attentive (not overbearing!) and courteous. Loved every second
of our time there and would love to go back. We attended brunch. My wife loved
the ricotta pancakes which were just ridiculously awesome. I had the spaghetti
carbonara, which was cooked perfectly- not an easy thing to do just right!
Came here for my father’s 60th birthday and we were very well taken care of for
the night. The atmosphere is elegant but errs more towards rustic elegance
than stuffy elegance. Our server recommended superb bottles of wine and the
cocktails here are also pretty interesting. The prix-fixe menu is the way to
go. You can mix up different appetizers and entrees and not feel constrained.
Good idea for people who want to have flexibility in ordering.
Best hand shaken margaritas in the county! Even just the basic one is awesome.
And no blenders here!
Came here with my mother about a week ago to have some of the best breakfast on
Long Island, and they truly lived up to my high expectations.
The food here is delicious: up-market takes on traditional Montreal
delicatessen food. The smoked meat is the star of the menu and can had in a
hash topped with two expertly fried eggs or in a simple sandwich with a slick
of mustard (ask for cheese at your own peril). Other menu highlights include a
dynamite appetizing platter with some truly excellent smoked fish and
Montreal-style bagels (a rarity in NYC, go north for the real thing!).
