I went for dinner before Blue Man group. We were seated at the deuce (2-top)
located directly in front of the street entrance. There were plenty of other
tables at 6:00 p.m. that should have been offered to us. Needless to say,
every time guests came in, we were blasted with cold air. It was very
uncomfortable being so chilly in such a cavernous, drafty space. The table
also got cramped when anyone came in to be seated.
We went here because of the episode of Restaurant Impossible. We love 30
minutes away in Northside, and own our own pub in OTR.
This place is awesome and so is their beer. I obviously have never heard of
Saint Arnold’s beer before because I don’t live in Texas or Louisiana but now I
am hooked and sad that they do not have any plans of distributing up north any
time soon! You guys really should come to NYC, I think the Brooklyn Brewery
could use some competition!
Wow. What can I say except the best pizza I ever ever eaten in this country.
Yes, it is that good. Trust me, this is how neapolitan pizza should be. They
are true artisans. They are recognized by pizzaiolo association in Napoli,
Italy. All of their ingredients are of the best quality and even sourced from
Italy, i.e. cheese from Modena, prosciutto from Parma, tomatoes fromSan
Marzano, etc. I think even thelour is from Naples.
Come and enjoy Thursday nights roulette wheel of shots. We had one of the
best times of our lives here. It’s a must go at least once kind of place.
Amazing shrimp, a great quick meal after a day of body surfing and lounging on
the beach. I got the garlic and spicy shrimp; it was bathed in zesty sauce and
cooked to my satisfaction. I also got the kona coffee poured over vanilla ice
cream drink, and it capped off the meal.
I happened to catch the Diners, Drive-ins and Dives TV show with SOB on it.
Great Going! It was very cute and I enjoyed every minute! I suppose my new
fav may get busier … but I’m sure it will still be worth the wait!
I can’t believe I’ve never been to this hidden treasure! This place reminds me
of one of the cute off the road cottages/cafe’s that had that lazy country
Hawaii feel. We were passing through Waimanalo on our way home and needed to
eat something asap. Since we barely come into Waimanalo, we decided to try this
place out. Wow, what a great decision that was!
Like thousands of visitors to Juneau annually, we arrived by cruise ship. We
rented a car in hopes of getting away from the tourists (yes, the irony of this
does not escape me, but we’ll ignore that for now). After hitting of the
fantastic out-of-the-way areas of Juneau and surroundings, we went hunting for
lunch. A search of Yelp turned up The Island Pub, so that’s where we went.
Argh super crowded late on a weeknight. Apparently no one sleeps around here.
Southern fried chicken was delish.
I went with my family for my birthday. We all did the Mesibah complete chef
tasting menu. It was posed to us that the Chef would be pretty much choosing
what we ate. We started with a Salatim & Hummus with Laffa. This was
essentially an assortment of small salads (carrots, beets, eggplants, green
beans, etc.), two variants of Hummus, and the Laffa (a type of flatbread). The
Turkish Hummus was extremely flavorful and the texture was very light but
creamy. The Salatim’s were good but…
One of the owners, Yvonne (I believe,) reminded me that they only handle
breakfast meals on the weekends due to their closure at 1 pm, but that didn’t
stop me from enjoying the sights and sounds of satisfied eaters everywhere you
looked–from the front counter to the seats facing out towards the window, I
overheard plenty of laughs and compliments of the food being had by one and
all!
Driving to Zazu gave me a weird feeling as it is not in any central locations,
indeed, it has a farm field behind the restaurant!
Bop n Grill, why did you open a better location at Loyola instead of NU :’[
I’ll probably never cook again.
Chocolate Chip Cookies are good and did I mention these cookies are huge. One
cookie could be your whole dessert. Whenever I have chocolate chip cookies, I
love it when the chocolate is a little melted, just like they are right out of
the oven. I microwaved it for 10 seconds. You can instantly get that “right out
of the oven” scent when you open the door - reminded me of my mom’s baking when
I was little. The cookie texture is dense almost like a brownie but the
chocolate chips…
Great place to go and enjoy great atmosphere, and great food. The live music,
free dance lessons, and overall layout of the restaurant is amazing. Highly
recommend you go, and highly recommend the Chicken & Waffles.
One of the many reasons I miss leaving Miami, this place has the most amazing
Civiche I have ever had. Amazing prices, value and service A++..
Came here a few years ago, I don’t remember the entree I ordered here but the
salsa and nachos were a hit! on top of that we ordered a large margarita that
my wife and I enjoyed sharing.
A really good cheesesteak but somewhat on the smaller side, also could have
used some more meat. Enjoyed the meal, but not so much washing it down with a
$3 soda.
Wow, Cava Mezze DC is absolutely delicious. I’m a huge fan of the take-out Cava
eateries in Bethesda and Tenleytown, so I was excited to try out the actual
restaurant. I was very impressed by the selection- it was so hard to pick! I
love their dips so naturally the dip tasting was my first selection. I liked
all of the dips, especially the hummus and crazy feta. Oh, and the harissa
(which comes with your pita bread) is heavenly. Too bad my acid reflux
prevents me from eating mounds and…
