This place is my jam!! Every time they come to South Bay Din Din a Go Go, I go
(get it?) because their burgers are that good.
Since moving to New York I have been on a quest to find the best pizza. I have
only been to a few places thus far but I can not imagine anything being better
than Grimaldi’s. Last Saturday while waiting in line for 45 minutes to get
into the restaurant I kept my expectations low because of the bad food
experiences I have had as of late.
A double with mustard, little peppers and onions, potatoes, and salt and
ketchup on top. This beast of a meal is so tasty. Another legendary place that
has customers keep coming back for more.
I’ll admit I’m used to staying in motels with a 6 or an 8 in their name, so I
don’t know how much sway my review will hold.
John’s of Bleecker Street was founded in 1929 by John Sasso, and the restaurant
is still in its original location. We serve coal-fired, brick oven pizza,
cooked in 850-degree ovens, and made to order. Among the oldest pizzerias in
the city, John’s captures the spirit of the New York pie with thin crust, fresh
toppings, and fast service.
First up, was Jumbo Slice. As advertised, the pizza is pretty big. $6 for a
slice seemed kind of steep … we all know what the basic ingredients are in
a slice of pepperoni pizza and simply enhancing the size a bit doesn’t
exponentially skyrocket the price.
Last time I ate at Libbys was 1978 as an insurance agent still sucking on the
sales managers teet. Remeber ordering a small draft beer for a quarter to go
with the chili dog all the way. Remember the dog being ok, but not great. I
now go to the Hot Grill in clifton all the time.
Really wish this place lived up to my husband’s wet dreams of recollections of
gluttonous lunch hours, be it summertime on the lake or during a blistering
Chicago winter.
I’ve held out on writing a review for this place because really, I think
everything that’s been said about Parkway has been said.. They’ve been on TV,
they are consistently on the top of the lists for best po boys in the city and
Obama has been there. After having eaten here over the years, I’ll go ahead and
add my two cents.

I started going to Skyway about 15 years ago. I love the sweet butter that
they use on the buns so much that I order my burger plain so that nothing takes
away from that great taste. I have tried Swensons and have not been nearly as
impressed. When we were in Wisconsin a few years ago, I was so excited to try
butter burgers thinking they would be a better version of Skyway. I was so
disappointed, they were good, but not Skyway good. It’s on that bun!
I was a Swensons curb boy in the summer of 1953 before I went away to college.
As I went up to a car window to take an order, I looked in and in the center
seat was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. I knew the girl sitting to
her right, so I passed her a note asking her name. I was given her name and
phone number, so I called her and made a date. We dated all summer long before
I left for the University of Oklahoma in late August. We saw each other many
times over the next 4 years, but…
One of the best places to watch football and eat Po Boys in New Orleans. BIG
place with great views of the TVs.
The true old Italian Gravy House. I’m not the True Old Italian as I had to
embarass myself by admitting to someone that I did not know that Gravy was
sauce. Ouch! I went down a few points on that one.
The same goes for Belgrade Gardens, another Barberton Chicken staple. This
town is the “Fried Chicken Capital of the World”! And only two people have
ever written reviews for White House?
Woodman’s is famous for inventing the fried clams. They’ve also received
numerous accolades for being a top fish restaurant in New England. This of
course brings people out in droves, so expect lines and a wait for you food.
