I have been a loyal fan of Phil’s since I lived in Mission Hills eons ago. The
food was wonderful then. I moved to the upstate of South Carolina for a couple
of years, and returned to San Diego. Had BBQ in the South. Real BBQ - slow
smoked in smokers….had ‘em in rual and urban cities. All were wonderful.
Came back to San Diego, craved BBQ and realized..this is GRILLING. Pre cooked
ribs, slathered with BBQ sauce at the end. So…I still give it three stars.…
Salumi is a great experience. I have always been confused by their hours, and
this adds to the surprise of the place. It’s been great to see their meats
around town in pizzas, at DeLaurenti, etc. Good salumi gets around. They used
to have a single pig’s foot just hanging out on the shelf in the walk-in
cooler. For luck? More likely for somebody’s chewy porcine snack!
It doesn’t seem that people in general think of Detroit as a great BBQ mecca
and since I was born and raised in Michigan with no experience in
NC/Texas/Kansas City aka. BBQ meccas, Slows is by far the best I have ever had.
This is a Richmond restaurant that is doing it right, living up to the hype,
and is a solid contender for breakfast, lunch and dinner- or even desserts and
drink. From the art, decor and cute mix matched coffee cups and salt and pepper
shakers- its perfect combination of cute and useful. The price is exactly right
for its quality, size and atmosphere, and it makes you really want to go back
there.
It’s sometimes hard for me to truly rate sports bars/restaurants, especially
with the Fifty/50. As others mentioned, it’s three floors, but I only saw the
main/first floor. However, while there are three floors/levels, it’s a rather
narrow space. It definitely felt more bar-like than sports bar/restaurant-like
to me, even though there is a full menu. There were multiple tvs with
different football games on, with the audio for one of the games playing. The
tvs are not…
We get to Naples every year for vacation. Have never eaten at the
Galley…..the 5 stars comes from Man vs. Food show on the Travel channel. The
Galley’s Lemon Lobster Roll won this shows “best sandwich in New England.” You
can bet that next year when we visit Naples, my husband and I will be getting
to this restaurant to try this lobster roll! GREAT JOB, Galley!
Welcome to The Salt Lick! We are delighted to share our world-renowned
Bar-B-Que with you - alongside an extra portion of Texas Hill Country
hospitality. The Roberts family recipes have roots back to the wagon trains in
the mid-1800’s. We want you to enjoy the same warm atmosphere and delicious
Bar-B-Que they savored around the campfire.
We are obsessed with the concept that our wedding and special occasion cakes
taste as good as they look (if not better). Needless to say, we make all of
them with one (or two) of our signature cake batters – then build from there by
suggesting fillings and frostings to match. Then we work with each client to
customize a look. You can find some of our previous designs in the Gallery. We
encourage, however, to let your imagination be your guide.
Daddy’s Fried won’t let you down. My friend was denied of fried dough for one
year. “For tourists. Gross. It’s just a street vendor. You don’t want that,”
our friend and host in Boston told him a year ago
Would I ever wait over an hour for this snowball in such heat? Probably not.
But if I’m ever in the area, I would pass by to see where the line is.
There is a story about the Duke of Edinburough, the Queen’s husband, visiting a
small town in northern Canada. During the royal visit he had lunch at the local
diner. He was accompanied by his entourage and members of the local and
national press who crowded into the adjacent booths and tables. It is easy to
imagine the attention lavished on a British Monarch dining at the local
establishment. Of course all eyes were on the royal booth when the restaurant’s
proprietress came to the table…
We got the waffle w/ ice cream and the shaved ice. I can’t decide which one
was worse - they both tasted like fruity pebbles. Halfway through eating it, I
felt like a zombie eating a plate of brains (thanks to all the red food
coloring). While that might be a plus to some customers..it was very
unappealing to me.
Modern Pastry cakes, cookies, candies, and pastries have been a part of Boston
area gatherings for many generations. We enjoy seeing, and hearing customers
speak proudly of their experiences, over the years, in our bakery. Together we
have celebrated birthdays, graduations, promotions, weddings, christenings,
retirements, holidays, and so many, many other special occasions.
A funky indie diner setting offering Chef/Owner Joanne Chang and Executive Chef
Karen Akunowicz’s very personal interpretation of Chinese, Taiwanese, Thai, and
Vietnamese specialties.
Great place for breakfast or lunch. Mike runs a super restaurant that has been
frozen in time. It’s a hangout for the Fort Worth Police chiefs and captains.
I’d feel really sorry for anyone stupid enough to try and rob the place. At
anyone time I am sure there are several detectives and undercover police eating
there.
René welcomes you to the RIM Cafe on the famous Italian Market, where you will
find him behind the espresso bar ready to whip you up his famous Rene Espresso,
or his Award Winning Hot Chocolate, the Volcano.
“Food, passion, and the Goddess — as defined by Sarah Schulz — have all come
together to form a reimagining of bread pudding. This truly timeless dessert
has inspired me, and with Schulzies, I hope to pass on this inspiration and
remind everyone that there really is nothing better than baking love.
Society Bakery opened 2003 in Dallas, Texas. The born and raised Texan founder
loved to bake, loved to sell, and wanted to change the world around her.
Society Bakery is a true Dallas original.
Tillman’s is a place for really good food, drinks, and music in a fun, casual,
come-as-you-are environment.
