We went back to try Jake’s for dinner and were not disappointed. We started
with the spinach & artichoke dip served w/house made flour tortilla chips. The
chips were light, warm, and tasty.
Jamaica Gates is so good, before this I had never experienced food like this.
It’s sweet and tangy with a but if a kick to it.
I have been coming to Jamaica Kitchen for years after it was recommended by two
Jamaican friends, who, funny enough, didn’t know the name of the place or the
exact location, other than “down Sunset Drive until the big Avenue”. Ha ha!
They didn’t know I hit bulls eye at will. That said, I can confidently say that
Jamaica Kitchen now serves the best Jamaican food in Miami.
I’ve been here twice. The staff is friendly and helpful. They gave me samples
with a toothpick. They had several main dishes for vegetarians, the BBQ tofu
was tasty. The sides were simple but delicious, I tried the collard greens and
cabbage. The fried bread is great to wipe up all the tasty sauce. They serve
good sized portions at a reasonable price. The line gets long quickly at
lunchtime.
I stopped by Jamies on 9/26/12 around 130pm. I had been wanting to go ever
since I heard it was featured on Triple D. I never saw the episode but my
husband went with his coworkers and said it was quite good. He warned me that
the place is quite small and not open on weekends. We have not made it out
there together so I had the day off from work and wanted to give it a try.
We had dined here once, and take out once. Both experiences were really good.
This place became one of our favorite spice food restaurants in Honolulu now.
We will be a regular here for sure.
I’m not sure if this is the “Best BBQ in the LA Area”, but “I sure wouldn’t
kick them outta bed for eatin’ crackers.”
A friend recommended we try the malasadas here, and they are ridiculously good!
They are only $0.80 each.
I am a fat kid, I love my coney dogs. I like American, but personally I like
National better. The chili is good, but it doesn’t have as much
seasoning/taste as Nationals.
On the whole want to support this kind of place, very pleasantly surprised.
This is Berwyn, right?
Great drinks and tasty chicken and waffles. Cove signature cocktail is
delicious. Music and decor great.
Doggy-Style serves up some creatively delicious dogs. Pricey? I’m not sure.
Pretty reasonable for the quality and unique-ness of the food. You won’t find
hot dogs like these anywhere else. I have to watch my figure, so I usually
keep my order pretty simple…sausage of choice on a bread roll with mustard,
ketchup, onions, and relish. Husband has tried all the specials and hasn’t met
a Doggy-Style dog that he didn’t like.
Alright, so yes, this place totally lives up to the hype. I know a thing or
two about hot dogs, or so I thought….this place is amazing. I opted for the
special dog (An Alaskan Reindeer Meat Hot Dog, Butter-Rum Roasted Pears, Bacon
& Rosemary Infused Sauerkraut, Roasted Red Pepper Chutney, Beets, and Shaved
Almonds!) How could I have passed this up?! It was hot dog perfection.
Its amazing!!!! My only complaint is that there isn’t one in Tallahassee!! I
would have loved to try each and every dog on the menu.
There is no comparison. Lafayette is king of the coneys. I’ve been coming here
since I was 4. My dad used to bring me down before or after a Tigers game.
We stopped by the Lemongrass Cafe for a Burmese pop-up dinner. I am Burmese by
culture and I have to admit that the food was quite authentic.
Licari’s Sicilian Pizza Kitchen Licari’s is a casual, energetic, and affordable
neighborhood pizza kitchen conveniently located in Celedon New Town next to the
Crushed Grape.
CALL FOR LOCATION b/c THEY ARE A FOOD TRUCK!
I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid, and I just love it more than I
can even say. But obviously, I’m going to try to say SOMETHING.
Are you sick of the grease laden , genetically modified tasting , bleach and
ammonia bathing , antibiotic fed chicken?
