Man v. Food
I took Adam Richman’s suggestion and had the pasty with chili, onions, and
cheese. A stand alone pasty is a little dry, so this helped. It’s not a
greatly filling meal, but it’ll stop your hunger.
This is great Austin gem, and it has been featured on several national TV
shows. But the best reviews are from friends and locals for sure.
The best thing? Everything else. I have been here several times, and never been
disappointed. The hot dogs are awesome, the fries are excellent, the chili is
great. Sure, it is more than a Costco hot dog - but it is worth it. Eat here;
you won’t be disappointed.
This is our favorite local sushi joint. The fish is always fresh (we eat here
every week) and Alex, the sushi chef, is a blast.
Last Summer, I was lucky enough to go to Memphis once a month and we always
stopped at Kooky Canucks. What is not to love about a place that prides itself
on a 4lb hamburger that you’re dared and timed to finish. Someone actually
finished this massive beast in 7 minutes! Check out my pictures! I have seen
tables of 12 order the burger and slice it like pie and still not finish it.
I’ve lived in Ann Arbor on the UofM campus for 4 years now and there is not a
doubt in my mind Blimpy is #1 for burgers… just don’t go there trying to be
healthy and hoping for lean, low fat burgers and fried goodies!
A usual stop after Coney Island or for a craving of Sicilian pizza, L & B is
the best. There’s multiple eating options here. If your thing is not Sicilian
pizza, they have regular round pie as well as every other Italian option. And
as the name suggests, you better get the Spumoni for dessert or else!
I wanted to fork someone because the food took fricken forever to come. Service
was really bad though…our waitress was really moody and she made me kinda
uncomfortable.

After having seen the preposterous burgers on Man Vs Food, I needed to see this
for myself. I had the Blue Baller and my gf had the Dirty Sanchez.
Regrettably, I had to explain to her what that meant on urban dictionary, along
with rusty trombone etc. Still worth it! And we shared a BASKET of tots and
beer battered rings which were divine. The burgers are sizable and juicy.
Lucha Libre is *the* mexican place I suggest to people who come to visit San
Diego. Big portions and crazy filling. Ingredients are fresh and legit.
Shrimps are big and steak is a good cut. Parking sucks, but if you’re hungry
the tacos and burritos will really hit the spot. Also, love the salsa bar.
One of my favorite aspects of traveling is finding fun and delicious places to
eat. I had heard of Lucky’s Sandwich Company on the TV show Man Vs. Food and
it sounded like my kind of place.
We travel to San Antonio quite a bit and we wanted to check this place out
after watching the Man Vs. Food episode. We arrived at 11:45 and out course
they stop serving breakfast.
Love this place. Have been here a few times during college when I visited my
bf. Sandwiches take a while to make since they’re huge and delicious. I’ve
never been to zingerman’s but it’s a close comparison (I assume). The same guys
are always there working when I go (probably family owned).
We came here after being stranded in Detroit for 24 hours, when our flight home
was canceled. We needed lunch, needed to get out of downtown (so we wouldn’t
run the risk of getting shot).
So we were having fun just throwing our money away at “Lucky Leo’s” cuz that’s
what you do on rainy days when you got cabin fever….and it was cold and windy
out (April 2011) so where ya gonna go?
The food was good and the price was dirt cheap! Service, despite being busy,
was hospitable. The walk out here was worth it. If you’re looking for a local
treat for little money, make a pilgrimage to Matt’s Bar.
Stopped here on road trip even though we had to go about 15 miles out of our
way. Found it through “Man vs Food”, one of my teenage son’s fave tv shows, so
we decided to give it a try! Worth the side tracking off our route. Ribs were
excellent and HUGE! Half rack was more than enough for my kids and I to share,
along with son’s giant pulled pork sandwich and daughter’s kids’ meal pork
sandwich.
I was shocked that it was so CROWDED for just Wednesday night and the parking
lot was horrible! We waited about 10 minutes until someone left the parking
lot. And we also waited for another 30 minutes for our table. It was like wow
that must be a really good restaurant!
I ordered a chicken parm sandwich and a salad. The salad was fresh and packed
with veggies. The chicken parm was pretty good. Had a Rickard’s Red beer, a
great brew that is not sold in the U.S.
