The Best Thing I Ever Ate
Best taco place in Dallas, bar none. Paris TX taco is fabulous, I get it every
time. The Paris is filled with fluffy scrambled eggs, spinach and wonderful
flank steak with a roasted tomato hollandaise sauce….so good! Hotlanta is my
second favorite, pretty good too.
Haven’t “eaten” here in a couple years but stopped in for drinks and apps at
the bar one night recently before heading over to Strip House and must say that
it has not lost its touch. This is certainly one of those restaurants, much
like Gramercy Tavern, that has withstood the test of time in the evolving NYC
restaurant culture.
The leek/whatever dumplings tasted like all leek. That’s why I’m calling them
“leek/whatever,” I don’t remember what they were marketed as containing, but
you couldn’t taste it. Just buy the soup dumplings and be glad you did.
My mom and I were shopping when we overhead someone talking about this place.
We were trying to figure out where to go for dinner and decided to give this a
shot. I’m glad we did. It sits just off the dining concourse at Grand Central
Station and is really rather beautiful.
The U.S. Grant has been a longstanding favorite hotel of mine. I also still
dream of the day I can go back to attend a Sunday or Holiday Brunch - nom nom
nom nom.
Definitely a pleasant surprise! Went in here shortly after 5 o’clock on a
Saturday evening after the flea closed for the winter. We were hungry and
didn’t want to go back out in the cold later on. It was so worth it.
So, Grill Em All; watching them on The Great Food TruckRace, Eat St., multiple
news and other food event coverages, and seeing their name across “Top Food
Truck” lists and magazines, i have had only one other food truck with this much
anticipation… that being The Grilled Cheese Truck
Nothing like it. Stands alone, best fried chicken ever. Yard bird…whatever
you want to call it, they know how to fix it RIGHT..
Easily one of my favorite restaurants of all time. The service is top notch,
the food is amazing, and the overall experience is magically. The price is
absurd and the meal takes forever, but what do you expect at this level of
dining?
We don’t get down to this area very much but after a visit to Ikea we decided
we had to try this place since it was not far away.
Happy Dog was one of the first to open in the city during what I’ve come to
know as a sort of culinary renaissance for Cleveland.
Harriet’s Cheesecakes are the best cheesecakes I’ve ever had. The store is
small and looks like the kind of place you don’t expect much from.
Ah the West Side Country Club. I just wish I could go there more often. This
is one of the corner stones of Evansville. My favorite thing there is either
the Hilltopper Burger or a Fish Sandwich (especially during Lent). If you
haven’t been to the Hilltop then you are missing out on the best tavern food in
Evansville.
This has to be one of the best hamburgers I’ve ever had in my life. My fav is
the Blue Jay and it does not disappoint. Last time I asked my server to just
bring me what he’d been having for the last 3 days and he brought me an AMAZING
tuna sandwich.
And so, don’t let the simple exterior of Hog Heaven fool you into thinking this
is not worth a second take. You’d be sadly mistaken.
Both this location and in Napa are delicious. It has become one of our
must-stops whenever we plan a trip to the city. It’s not like they have a huge
menu or anything but we love what they have so much it keeps us coming back.
Thanks to my guy’s birthday that is sandwiched between Christmas, the New Year
and the craziness of the holidays in between, I will end 2012 with a 5 Star
review.
Hugo’s is one of the those West Hollywood mainstays. It’s been around forever
and I’ve been going here forever.
So, yeah…I ate Humphrey Slocombe twice one week: Brown Sugar Fennel one day,
Secret Breakfast another.
We visited Husk a while after reading a New Yorker article about the owner. I’d
long wanted to make a trip to Charleston (from our home in DC), and I’m so glad
we did. I loved the city, but the thing that will bring us back is Husk.
