The Best Thing I Ever Ate
Chicos has been a El Paso favorite for over 50 years. This is a very unique
way of making rolled tacos the sauce is one of a kind and the green chile is
the bomb. So if you happen to be in El Paso this is a must go to.
This is a great East Village spot for those with a sweet tooth. They do
3-course dessert prix fixe with wine paring that’s worth every penny. The place
is a tad small. If you go during prime dessert time (after prime dinner time,
obviously), there might be a chance you’d have to wait for seating.
Minus major points for their take-out service: I have NO IDEA why they restrict
the takeout menu, and why they were out of so many things. Unacceptable,
especially for dinner. And the menu restriction is a total cop-out.
A great bar here and the dim sum were great. We did a sort of groupon for a
group of ten and the service was still great. I plan to use this as a goto
place when in the neighborhood with a group.
This place was pretty amazing. We went with a large group so I tried a lot of
items on the menu. The decor is casual and inviting but the prices are not. A
definite place to try but daddy better bring his Costanza wallet and drop big
boy money.
Came here for a early dinner (around 5:45pm?) the Wednesday before Thanksgiving
and was seated immediately.
Great burgers, nice vibe, and awesome selection of morning pastries. Come early
- they’re gone quickly!
This place is alright. Being Korean = growing up on Korean bbq.Of course, LA’s
Koreatown is THE best place in SoCal to get good quality bbq.
Burgundy Snails in Garlic Butter sauce covered with puff pastry was delish! The
escargot was almost meaty, and the puff pastry covering it was buttery and
flaky. It did leave me wanting a little more…not always a bad thing though.
A few people commented on the questionable neighborhood, which I sort of
disregarded living in a sketchy area of Fall River as I do, they weren’t
kidding though. In fact we parked by the rear entrance but a questionable
group of guys helped us realize that maybe walking around the block to use the
front entrance was a better option.
I came here for the TJ Martell Honors Gala, so this might be a bit of a skewed
review since the menu was already fixed.
We had probably one of the best dinners ever at Citronelle last night. We’ve
been fortunate enough to have had several wonderful dining experiences with
tasting menus, and Citronelle’s was by far the best.
Taking advantage of the last “nice” weekend of the year, we chose to take a
trip up to Philly to see the sights again and, since it was cool out, to
deviate from the usual Philly routine (historical sites, Chinatown, historical
sites), to eat at City Tavern.
If I ever used the word “swanky” to describe a place (and I don’t), it would be
for Clover Club. You can say I usually am what they call a “Manhattan snob” - I
rarely venture out to Brooklyn.
Very nice, trendy restaurant with a cool vibe to it. When you see people in the
movies eating out in LA - this is the restaurant they’re “at.” Hypothetically
speaking.
We had a reservation but we were late. We were sited right away and service
was very good.
Happy with the service. Happy with the food. Happy with the vibe/noise level
(at dinner). Call me happy… and stuffed on cauliflower pasta, yummy
minestrone, and chocolate budino. I’ll report back on this so-called famous
roast chicken.
Apparently Anthony Bourdain is a regular here, so in hopes of catching a
glimpse of my all-time favorite foodie, we stopped in to grab a bite. Breakfast
seems to be the time to hit this place up…very busy!
As a California transplant finding good mexican food in new york has been a
challenge. Barrio Chino is the best mexican food i’ve had so far in the city.
The first few times I tried coming here were failed attempts as the wait was
over 2 hours.
I’ve had my fair of delicious Sandwich’s (Lee’s, Earl’s, Sandwich Spot, Which
Wich, etc), but none compare to Bay Cities! Although I don’t live in Santa
Monica anymore, I make it a point to venture down just to get my Godmother!
Trust me when I say this is one of the best sandwich’s you will ever eat.
