The Best Thing I Ever Ate
Just downright fully satisfying! I love that this restaurant is walking
distance from our place but wish prices weren’t so high so we could come ever
week!
This place gets an extra star for the music on its website; love the ambiance
of the restaurant also.
It’s hard for me to go 5 stars on much of anything so this is me saying that I
had a great experience at this place. It is a fairly bare bones type of drive
in so depending on what someone values when dining out I can see where certain
people may not find this place to be as great as others.
We used 17th Street BBQ for our wedding catering. It was fantastic! The
catering staff is so knowledgeable and really helped with planning and
portioning. Becky and Laurie were both wonderful to work with and it was clear
they are pros and experts!
So, my review for this chippy is totally biased. I am not british nor have I
ever eaten at a traditional fish and chips stand, which I am told by my limey
friends doesn’t even really exist in the UK anymore (or is in very short
supply). My assertion that this is exactly like those in the 80’s in the UK is
based on the multiple ex-pats who have told me so.
We drove an hour and a half, partly to eat here again. I had just come back
from Taiwan and was starting to crave good Chinese food…and ta-da! This is
the only authentic-tasting Chinese food I’ve had in New England. Much of the
menu is Taiwanese “small bites” or tapas style, meant to be shared between
people.
Beer can chicken is a must. The meat was really moist. The skin was nice and
crispy. The chicken came with pickled radish and salsa. It was American,
Korean, and Mexican all at once, and it was incredible.Sweet potato fries were
well done too, I feel like the sauce they served it with was a little bland,
but had good texture. Portion size was good, a whole chicken served two really
hungry boys, but it definitely could have been enough for three people. Good
selection of beer, and the Hefeweizen…
Midway through our 9 course (!!!) meal, my boyfriend turned to me and asked,
“Yelp maxes out at 5 stars, right?”
If you are searching for an historic inn with affordable class where culinary
passion is executed to near perfection, The Kennebunk Inn is the place. And if
you can not get here we now ship: www.mainelobsterpotpie.com
They do offer variety of Greek plates, mostly from Asia Minor, Constantinople
and northern Greece - which is a really amazing geographic area flavor wise.
What a great last minute find! I had to travel to Los Angeles last minute for
work this past weekend, which happened to be my birthday. Nothing says happy
birthday like working all weekend and having to travel on your actual birthday.
So I chose to take the red eye home to get a full day in Sunny California.
Sunny it was not infact it was grey and raining every day…. really depressing
for ones birthday!
A place to go for a special occasion. If possible, sit outside in the warmer
weather. Everything that we have ever ordered has been fresh, perfectly
cooked, and DELISH! The ambiance is cozy – warm in the fall/winter and fresh
breezes on the patio in spring/summer.
I’ve been here three times. I am Pakistani, so I can judge this food on a
personal level ;-)
It’s great. They give good portion sizes, and their naan [especially garlic!]
is bomb!
Prices are VERY reasonable.
Alan Wong’s likes to impress its guests. From the excellent service to the
small touches like the iPad drink menu, this place oozes confidence. They KNOW
you will enjoy your experience!
I went here yesterday for lunch to celebrate my birthday. Michelin-rated
restaurants are truly worth it; the service and attention to detail truly make
the experience focused on the food and your personal pleasure.
Be prepared to throw down for this meal but know it will most likely be one of
the best you will ever have. Creative, fun, innovative and delicious. It is a
hell of an experience to say the least.
Simple, and sweet : good bang for the buck. Meat is on point. Decor is lacking.
If you want a good steak and still want to wear a t shirt then this is your
place. Great beer selection both alcoholic and non.
Oh what can I say.. I’ve been to Amada for a few times, including the one in
Atlantic City. The good surprises me EVERYTIME I went.
I have been to The Ambassador twice now, once for dinner and once for lunch.
While the food is not the most outstanding I’ve had in terms of Indian, it is
still delicious and made with high-quality ingredients. And when paired with
the exceptional service and gorgeous dining area, the Ambassador makes for a
perfect spot to celebrate any special occasion or simply enjoy a relaxed meal
with friends and loved ones.
I really liked this place! Great food, amazing service, romantic atmosphere.
Orange/Yellow dimly lit, no table cloths, but clean and widely spaced
restaurant with many tables and a bar. We came on a Saturday night and there
were many tables open, but the host said they were all booked so we sat by the
bar. By the time we left all the tables were booked. So if you don’t want to
sit by the bar, make sure to reserve a spot!
