The food was hands down one of the best restaurant meals I’ve had. Every single
bite was a flavor explosion. Each one was like a while new experience. The
meals were clearly very well thought out and expertly crafted. Yes, it’s a bit
pricy, but it’s totally worth every penny.
Really? Are you gonna make me get on my knees in adoration? The Frenchie Burger
was completely, utterly, out of this world. Slap me back to reality and put me
on a plane back to the ATL because I can hardly stand it.
Been meaning to try DBC for a while…It was pretty AWESOME. They don’t take
reservations, so when we showed up for brunch on a Sunday we were quoted 35
mins. We ended up waiting 15-20 minutes tops (a pleasant surprise). It took
our server about 10 minutes to great us, but she was super friendly, so I
quickly forgot about it.
The message I’m getting is Jonathan Rapp deserves a slap on his back. And I
will most likely go out of my way to patronize his restaurant The River Tavern
in the future. So kudos to Jonathan.
Went with some girlfriends to catch up over dinner. Was the perfect place to
do so. Tables aren’t too close together and the restaurant is a cozy size.
Music is very low so you don’t need to strain to carry conversations.
Absolutely loved it! The simplicity and down-to-earth vibe is perfect. The food
is top notch. The drinks are wonderful and the staff is knowledgeable and
friendly. The whole place exudes comfort and quality. I would very highly
recommend as much to a foodie friend as I would to family.
I love American Cupcake. The cupcakes are amazing and the service is
impecable. I stopped in here tonight around closing time to pick up some
cupcakes. Allison helped me pick out a dozen cupcakes for a friend’s birthday.
She was super helpful and friendly. There were a couple of flavors that only
had a few cupcakes left but Allison graciously offered to make me more of any
flavor I would like. This was surprising to me since it was almost closing
time.
So I was laying in bed this morning and all of the sudden I started salivating.
I tried to figure out exactly why this was happening to me and then I
remembered…I was dreaming about Arancini Bros. nutella rice ball. Normally,
one would not think that rice and nutella go together (even though nutella goes
with pretty much anything). In this case, it just works: sticky rice, coated
in cinnamon sugar, and molten hot nutella gushing from the inside. My mouth is
watering just thinking…
Anyone who has a review here that has lowered the rating due to the price is an
idiot. It is HIGHLY publicized that Arrows is expensive. You knew then when
you booked - so your fault, not theirs.
It was a cloudy afternoon in the city and we were looking for a nice local spot
for some light food and drinks. This place was perfect! We sat at the bar and
enjoyed great wine which was parred with a sampler of cheeses/meats/bread/fruit
that was excellent. The bartender was awesome, very attentive and knowledgeable
of the food and wine. We will surely return to this bistro.
The vegan cupcakes are just perfect. I was particularly obsessed with the
spelt option - so much lighter and easier to digest!
After an “exciting” meeting with a client in the area, my boss, colleague and I
thought we DESERVED a “snack” before we returned to the office.
On a brisk night, way after sunset, a group of four young gentlemen arrived at
the hallowed eatery of Westchester. After a quick drink at the bar we were
escorted to our table at the dining room. Warmth set in with the aid of a well
selected wine from the interesting list.
I had see this joint profiled on the Yahoo list of Top 10 taco joints in
America. Even though it took a 45-minute drive to the blue line and then a
15-minute trip on the blue line, I had to try it out.
When my company’s board of directors announced they were coming to town, they
had a clear idea of the type of place they wanted to go to for dinner. Must
have great food, an amazing wine list, a quiet private room and NO CHAINS!
So, mine will be review number 599 for Blue Duck Tavern. I really don’t give
out five star reviews lightly, but this was an amazing experience.
The fact that Blue Hill doesn’t have three Michelin stars shows that there is a
huge flaw in their rating system. After dining here, I’m going to have to go
back and re-rate all of the restaurants I’ve been to, using Blue Hill as the
new standard. Ok, I probably won’t re-rate everything, but Blue Hill has
definitely set a new standard for food, especially when referring to
restaurants that serve “farm to table.”
This is one of those places you have to try as a Columbus resident. So, I did.
My group (me, bf and his brother) got lucky when our friends who had been
waiting over an hour decided to go somewhere else and hand us their spot in
line. Even with that, we still waited nearly an hour. But again, we had to try
it.
I can’t wait to try the chicken and cheese biscuit! This will be my new place
to bring people visiting and looking for a good meal.
I came to Tio’s for a late dinner tonight and was surprised by how full it was.
There were lots of people at the bar and at the tables. The hostess told us
that the servers were slammed today so we had to wait for about ten minutes for
a table, even though some of the tables were open. But we looked at the menu
while waiting so it was fine.
