Best Vietnamese I've had since leaving southern California. Everything was delicious. The service was super attentive. We had shaking beef- bo luc lac, pho, cha trung (meatloaf), and egg rolls. Wanted to go back, but they were in renovations.

I'm writing this review after our third trip to the American Hotel. Our first visit was three or four years ago for brunch, then for a fund raiser early this January and again two Sundays ago also for brunch.

Well I'm not trying to brag, but our breakfasts came out in like 10 minutes. We had nary a wait. Helpful tip: Eat your breakfast at 10:30 PM, avoid the wait. Yeah, so that's why so lickettysplit. We were on a little road-trip with plans to stay over in Knoxville for the night, but wasn't sure what manner of grub would be open by the time we got there, and suddenly, scrolling, saw some hoarded bookmark from long, long ago...

The food was pretty good (it's Argentine, so what do you get? EMPANADAS). Also, the person providing the service was very friendly. Fairly priced. An all-around good choice if you like empanadas and other foods from Argentina.

On our first visit, my reuben sandwish was yummy -- and the cup of potato soup was good enough to make me rethink my own recipe! We went back for a seconds the next day, and I had the hot lunch buffet -- Excellent tamale pie, tender steamed asparagus, a pile of cauliflower and zucchini roasted on a grill.... What a treat! My husband found a generous ham sandwich the first day, and a leg quarter of a rotisserie chicken on the second pass. Both were reported as -excellent!

I don't get how this is, but their burrito is one of my favorites in town. It's something about the fillings they put in it that just makes it so good. I know this isn't a mexican spot, but the burrito is super delicious.

Great food. Shrimp and grits. For dinner. Plus I tried my spouses fish of the day special which was a snapper. Both were made with so much southern flavor. Appetizer. Salmon cake was ok. The chilli was Nothing special.

I had been meaning to go to Backstage Bistro for years, but for whatever reason I never made it there even though I literally worked a block away from there years ago. This place is entirely run by cooking school students trying to get their recipes right as well as hospitality training- hosting and waiter service. The waiters were a little awkward at times but it was actually refreshing; they were trying their best to make a good impression.

A great place with a fun, island atmosphere and friendly staff. Everyone was very attentive and helpful. The food was unique and tasty. I had a Vietnamese noodle salad, which was fresh and tasty. We were all too full for their amazing looking desserts, but they offered mini versions of many of them, which allowed us to get little two-bite treats.

If you're not looking for a full lunch, come in here and grab a fresh loaf of bread to take with you for picnic in wine country. I can never say enough good things about this place and how reliable and friendly the service has been. Hope you have the same experiences as I have had!

I had lunch again today at Becky's Diner. The fried haddock sandwich was outstanding, but order your bun without the margarine they put on it before they griddle it. The margarine was horrid. Becky, I LOVE your restaurant, but please switch to real butter.
